About ASI and the Rocky Mountain Area Chapter
The American Society for Indexing (ASI) is a nonprofit association founded in 1968 to promote excellence in indexing and to increase awareness of the value of well-written and well-designed indexes.
The Rocky Mountain Area Chapter serves members primarily from Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, but interested prospective members from other states may designate the Rocky Mountain Area Chapter as their home chapter with ASI. We provide information and support for those who are thinking about becoming indexers, are current practicing indexers, or are considering hiring an indexer. The Rocky Mountain Area Chapter also provides general indexing information to publishing professionals and organizations in the region.

- The ASI Rocky Mountain Chapter Spring 2012 Workshop planning is underway.
- The 2012 ASI Annual Conference will be held April 19-21 at Bahia Resort in San Diego, CA. For more information and registration, please see ASI's Conference information.
- The 2011 Rocky Mountain Chapter, ASI Fall Indexing Skills Workshop on "Digital Indexing: Variations on a Theme" held at the Quality Inn Boulder County Conference Room in Louisville, CO was a success with the room filled of eager presenters and attendees.
